Our Home Loan Water Testing service is designed to meet the water quality testing requirements commonly associated with FHA, VA, USDA, and other mortgage loan programs involving private wells. What's Included

We collect and submit the following laboratory samples:

1. Bacteria Sample (Sterile Bottle)

• Total Coliform – A general indicator of the sanitary quality of the water supply. The presence of Total Coliform bacteria may indicate a pathway for contamination into the well or water system.
• This test provides presence or absence results rather than a bacteria count. If bacteria are detected, the water system should be disinfected and retested before the water is used for drinking or cooking.

2. White Cap Bottle

• Nitrite – Tests for nitrite contamination, which may result from fertilizers, septic systems, or animal waste. Elevated levels can pose health risks, particularly for infants and other vulnerable individuals.

3. Red Cap Bottle

• Lead – Tests for lead, a toxic heavy metal that can leach into drinking water from plumbing materials. Exposure to lead can have serious health effects, especially for young children and pregnant women.

4. Yellow Cap Bottle

• Nitrate + Nitrite – Measures nitrate and nitrite levels to help identify contamination from agricultural fertilizers, septic systems, or animal waste. Elevated concentrations may indicate groundwater contamination and can present health concerns.
